The Agilent BioTek Cytation5 is an innovative multi-mode microplate reader that combines high-performance microplate detection with high-resolution cellular imaging, providing unprecedented experimental solutions for life science research.

Core Technical Features

Cytation5 employs Hybrid Technology™, integrating the high sensitivity of filter-based detection with the flexibility of a monochromator system. Its monochromator bandwidth is continuously adjustable from 9-50nm with 1nm stepping precision, achieving fluorescence detection sensitivity as high as 0.25 pM fluorescein sodium. The instrument features a modular design, allowing users to configure microscope modules, microplate detection modules, or a combination of both according to their needs.

The imaging system is equipped with a 16-bit monochrome CCD camera and interchangeable LED light sources, working in conjunction with Olympus objectives (1.25x-60x) and Semrock filters to support imaging from whole-well observation to cellular details. The 6-position objective turret design enables rapid switching between different magnification levels.
